 Linguist and translator, Greek citizen, living in Brazil, Daniela has 16 years of experience, specialized in the following fields: industrial, legal, journalistic, travel and tourism and literature.

She was Project Manager, coordinating the Latin American team of translators of Travel Holdings Inc, performing this task remotely.

My expertise includes location of translation weak spots, development of specific vocabulary database, and execution of final edits to create publication ready text. Reliable, trustworthy, pro active, highly productive and organized. Worked for one of the most distinctive and expansive travel distribution companies in the world for the past 18 months and gained a good understanding of what is required for GDS. Over 18 months translating and managing a translation team in Brazil:

• Responsible the Portuguese version of the following websites: http://www.touricoholidays.com/, http://www.lastminutetravel.com/, http://www.oneminutebooking.com/, http://www.travelegent.com/, http://www.easyclicktravel.com/  and www.abacus.com .
• Managed a team of 12 translators located in Brazil for Spanish, Italian, French, Polish, Russian, Greek and Dutch.
• Organized and maintained all the production in Brazil, meaning over 15.000 hotel descriptions.
• Developed and trained the use of translation memory systems, terminology management database based on the travel sector; raising the production up to 100 hotel descriptions a day, per translator, improving in 40% the production of translations.
• Knowledge in many types of databases and also data entry.

For 4 years dealing with the opening and settlement of this company in Greece:

• Settled a translation team for websites, together with web designers, to offer a new product to the Greek market
• Hiring and management of each translator.
• Development of a translation memory system for each website to assure that the work would be as fast and profitable as possible.
• Management of all administrative material related to the translation material.
